Hello all, just looking for some help/ feedback.

I have a 2009 c4s coupe in meteor grey metallic. I am looking to have a set of carrera sport wheels refinished.

The shop selling them is letting me choose the color for the wheels. (The outer lip will be the machined/polished)

Standard color for the carrera sport wheels is GT silver. I have heard people say color matching the wheels to meteor grey metallic looks great but unfortunately I have never seen this and can’t find any good photos online.

I am torn between getting them color matched to meteor grey metallic or doing them as the standard Gt silver.

I dont plan on selling them so future resale is not a concern.

If anyone one has a picture or has seen color matched carrera sport wheels in meteor grey could you please chime in ? Any help would be appreciated.

Or if anyone has some photo shop skills. That would be really appreciated.

I've never seen a meteor 997 with meteor gray wheels. Not on the street or in a picture. And I don't have good enough photo shop skills to pull this off but I can offer you two photos of my previous -09 C4S in meteor gray. One with silver Champion RG5 wheels and the other with black HRE P40's. Maybe someone skilled at photo shopping can work with this to where you want it. Not the wheels you have but should give you a good idea of the final look.

I really only like Silver Wheels - When I purchased my 07 C4S (which I've sold and replaced w/07 997s) it had black wheels which looked terrible - Seller also had grey wheels which I believe looked worse.
I also love Silver Lobster Forks which many people hate.
Unlike Politics, I can hang with smarter silver loving people or those others who like grey/black - I don't discriminate

Ah yes. Wheels. The one part of the car that every manufacturer makes the same. Porsche? Alloy grey. Ferrari? Alloy grey. Civic? How about alloy grey?

Please, for the love of god, do something unique.

 

Here is the set up I was looking to do. MGM with color matched carrera sport wheels.. I think it looks good based on the photo. Problem is ill have to make a decision just based on this photo so im hoping it translates well in real life.

I feel like its not too over the top matchy matchy and a little different from the GT silver standard which also looks great. ( i had GT silver wheels on my white 997 a while back). Also thanks for everyones feed back and photos.
