Default New 997.2 incoming finally

After about a 1 1/2 year search for a speed yellow 997.2 I finally found one and pulled the trigger. I cannot believe how hard it was to find one although I was being very picky on condition and history. I found this car on the PCA website. I could not ask for a better previous owner who was a total car fanatic like I am. Everything checked out, PPI was clean, DME looked good, Clean Carfax, excellent maintenance history and all records. 30K miles on the clock and 6 speed manual with PSE. After selling my other two Porsches (996 C4 and 951) I started hanging out on the 997 forum to learn about this model and wanted to thank everyone for their help. I looked at and drove a lot of cars but the elusive speed yellow car was a tough find. I almost caved in but now the deal is done and the car is being picked up by Reliable Transport on Wednesday in NC and headed here to Texas. Really looking forward to getting the car and going to some of the local events. -Randy

Nice! This car looks familiar since not too many yellow 997.2's show up. Did the car fax show ever show this car bought or sold in CA at one point?

congrats - car looks great and beautiful. if i wanted to nitpick, i would ask if the rear decklid (or maybe spoiler) has been replaced - the Carrera badge (for whatever reason) has definitely been removed and re-attached (based on its positioning).

You have a keen eye my friend. This car had the delete model designation option and the second owner added the badge back on.

Yea the Tag Heuer stop watches for road rallies are very cool. Will get some better pics later.

I may be in the minority but the OEM side markers don't look half bad on the yellow cars.

Congrats. A beauty worth waiting for. Looks like some exhaust work has been done since it's a base car with quad tips. Could just be the oval tips replaced with the quads. Best I can tell the center muffler was left alone. No telling what if anything was done to the side mufflers. Depending on your taste in terms of exhaust note you may feel tempted to look for one of the bypass options out there. That center muffler makes the car very quiet, even with modified or after market side mufflers.

Btw....what are those dials on the glove box?

Thanks man, Southpoint Porsche added the OEM PSE and quad tips. I will need to get up in there and look more closely but either way the car sounds fantastic. The dials on the glove box are Tag Heuer stop watches used for road rallies etc. He also had the calipers custom painted.
