F'ing frogs. Let's bring back the Bush years - buy their expensive wine and pour it out in the gutters. That'll learn em.

Last time I drove in the rain was a day when it was raining but not pouring.I figured id run out real quick on a couple errands...no problem. By the time i was returning home 20 minutes later it was pouring cats and dogs. Entering my neighborhood the streets were flooded curb high. barely made it home and had to crawl through the water to get there. depends on how low your car is i guess .My case in point there is some merit to not driving our rides in the rain without taking some oars along for the ride.

I went for a drive on Sunday after 10 days of no 911 seat time. Cloudy, but dry. 10 mins in a storm blew over the hill with a downpour of biblical proportions. Aquaplaning at 40mph, visibility of 3 feet. Awful conditions.
What did I learn.
1. Don't trust British weather
2. Sonax Netshield works a treat for beading paintwork
3. Meguiars wax and wash makes the wipers no perform at their best.
4. All cars whether intended or not, were water cooled on Sunday.😎

I only drive my car in the rain. It’s really the only way I can rest easy that my dash won’t crack, leather won’t dry out and paint won’t fade. For me it’s in the garage on sunny days and out on the streets in the rain.

Sound of wiper blades and tires in rain keeps the bore scored cylinder/IMS crunching sound to a minimum

The most concentrated fun I ever had in a 911 was in the rain. I had my 2003 C4S on the Jefferson Circuit at Summit Point Raceway in a PCA HPDE. Finding the balance of the car at relatively low speed while navigating the slippery track surface as quickly as possible was the best...time...ever! The easily-accessed 4-wheel drifts were just icing on the cake. While I believe it is more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow, this was a great experience driving a fast car slow!

I'd rather be driving my 911 in the rain than not driving it at all. Water spots WILL buff right out...
