I just saw this on TV today... a bunch of dudes in a small town in France just drove their Porsches through the rain. They even had huge wings and LED lights all over the car. Disgusting.

Why doesn’t this thread have an engine failure poll?

Doesn't state of it's 997.1 or 997.2

If it's a 997.1, then rain needs a 4.0 rebuild.

If it's a 997.2, then you should have switched to DI40 to prevent rain storms.

You're supposed to put the top up when it rains, silly.

I saw some clouds on the horizon, so of course, a Father's day drive is out of the question.

Once again Odin and Thor have let me down.....

Now the oil is ruined. Are you worried about scoring?

Whats messed up- is making light of others painful failures. And disrespecting vital contributors.
But, go on now. . .karma is a mother

Everyone deals with pain differently. Some folks make jokes, others cry, some even never buy another Porsche, yet others obsess over possible doom by figuring out stats. It's a shared trauma . You're even dealing differently by getting all self righteous. It's ok. This is our group hug safe space. Come on in big fella

Thanks for laying out the stages of Porsche grief - that's mind blowing. Guy calls me out directly to set me straight, adds roll eyes emogi and others for emphasis - then calls me self righteous. That's rich!
I get you've been here for longer - so you know better. Do we put you in the category of 'laughs at failure and disposes to get a new one'? That's swell.

Meanwhile I'm over here learning and appreciating the contribution of others.

No worries.

Porsche Dealers have a special for Father's Day 5% off their Factory approved car wash and rain deflector coatings. Only 395.00 for a 4oz bottle complete with Porsche Branded GT bag included.
