Default GTS wheels / offsets

I am looking to go wider with tires on my 2011 GTS. Wanted to go with 325 in the rear and 245 in front, similar to GT3. Is it possilbe? Has anyone else done this? Proper Offsets? I track the car 4-6 times a year.

thanks.

There is a big discussion/battle about this in the GT3 forum.
I was trying to get it back on track.
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...-1-wheels.html
GTS wheels are widebody fit, so I cannot attest to what is possible but, the fronts for the C2S lobsters (19x8 +55) probably should not have more than a 235 from my eye. The OEM GT3 fronts (19x8.5 +53), which is the same for the RS probably can run 245s easy but that doesn't necessarily say one should.
Nevertheless, I am trying to figure this out too but on a NB.

EDIT: I think your wheels are 19x11 +51 in the rear, whereas the GT3 wheels for both NB and WB are 19x12 with different offsets (I think the .2RS has +48). Also, I think the fronts are 19x8.5 on the GTS, and 19x9 on the GT3...so are the GT3RS but the offsets possibly vary as well. I would try to get my hands on GT3RS wheels though, if you can find some reasonably priced. I was reading this thread while typing: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...eel-setup.html

from another thread but for turbos:
2010/11 GT3RS wheel specs are
Front: 9 x 19" +47 mm offset
Rear: 12 x 19" +48 mm offset
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-turb...it-turbos.html
So, GTS wheels might not be ideal for running those tire sizes even if the GT3RS does. They have the same wide body from my understanding but to run the wider tires, you might need to consider running 245 in front and 325 in the rear.
GTS owners would be a better source than me obviously though.

I've been running 235/35/19 +47 - 325/30/19 +48, for years on my GTS without issue. Nice and flush.

thanks.
I had that exact configuration on my GTS when I bought it. No fitment issues and the fronts looked fine but the rears didn't look right. Too fat and the diameter was clearly off as it looked like the rear of the car was raised. Nothing drastic but I have a sensitive eye to the overall stance of the car and again, it just didn't look right. Changed back to 305's and it all came together. I've since seen 325's with the same diameter as the 305's so go for it. Fitment is a non issue.

My biggest issue with the GTS and its wheels and tires is the offsets. Very conservative and can't be fixed with spacers since most of them came with center lock wheels. I lucked out with the previous owner having bought after market wheels with custom offsets making the tires flush with the fenders where they should be.

These are 235/35"s up front and 305/ 30's on the rears. As long as the diameter of the tires are the same you won't see any difference looking at the car going with 245's and 325's instead. Just thought about something though. If you have stock wheels, what size are they? I know they're 19's but what about the width? The 325's and 245's mounted on my car were on after market wheels 9" up front and 12" rears. Assuming you have stock wheels, check to see if the stock wheels will support the wider tires you want. I'm sure they can be mounted but are they a good fit without stretching things a bit?

Here are the factory specs for the GTS...

--Front || Diameter: 19" || Width: 8.5" || Offset: +56
--Rear || Diameter: 19" ||Width: 11" || Offset: +51

In other posts on this topic, people have suggested GT3 fronts and GT3RS rears will fit the GTS best. The GT3 is a narrow body, so the rears are too narrow and the GT3RS has front flares so the fronts are too wide... hence the need to mix.

Thank you for posting this. I googled this for a bit last night and found a bunch of different answers.

After a quick wash today before she gets loaded into the container tomorrow to be shipped to Germany. Cant wait to try it out over there!

Some extra shots so you can see how flush the fitment is.

Make a thread for that trip please!! Some of us will be stuck indoors for the summer—teaching summer school no less :-(

In case you'll ever consider after market wheels to correct the offsets, mine are 50 for the fronts and 46 for the rears (factory is 56/51 respectively). The fronts are perfect at 50 but if I ordered a new set I would specify 43 or possibly even 42 for the rears.

I am running 245 fronts, 325 rears on the same Ultraleggera wheels as posted above...
19x9 ET 47 fronts
19x12 ET 48 rears
Exact wheel/offset setup of CL GT3RS 2011-12

No issues what so ever.
The fit and look of this is the perfect flush effect for me.

2012 Carrera 4GTS

BBS RE-MTSP Mono Centerlock in Satin Ti - 19x9 ET47

BBS RE-MTSP Mono Centerlock in Satin Ti - 19x12 ET48

these are the wheels I have, I want the car to be lower and will get some coilovers eventually, in the meantime I want to get 325 rear tires, I have 245 up front and it looks significantly better than the 305 in the rear with the new wheels.

Kindly remind me, are either of you on lowered springs? I recall Sandwedge's GTS is on H&R's.
