Thanks Rampage! Good eye! Lol, I never would have spotted the leather center console trim in the picture! Hard to see in the pic but he ordered it with the carbon fiber package as well which is not just on the e-Brake and strip on the dash but also on the PDK shift lever which I thought was a nice touch. Not over the top but just enough. With a black interior it’s hard to pick up in pics but in person I think it looks really sharp.

Focus on ensuring all of the time and maintenance items are done then worry about 'upgrades' and cosmetics.

Lots of good help here in this forum.

PS - nice solid car.
Great advice and thank you.

Thanks for all the welcomes I appreciate it, I’ll definitely take some dusk/night pics soon. I’m going to try to find a good spot with an ocean backdrop.

Hey thanks I thought the price was fair. We settled on the price quickly and he was/is a super cool dude who could not have been nicer. Great transaction.

Lexus', and a few other's but I have wanted a Porsche 911 since I was 15. Life and family have finally aligned to where I could start looking for my car. I narrowed my search to either a 991.1 or a 997.2 CS. The 991's with the options/miles desired were out of my price range. I decided to look for a 997.2 CS heavily optioned, well maintained with an owners/maintenance history I could trace, and with less than 60K miles on it. After looking for several months I found this car locally through a private party and paid $53K. My unicorn was a manual, 35K miles or less, one or two owners, with meticulous service records, meteor grey, blue, or the color I have , which is GT Silver and looks much better in person than in pictures IMO. Prices on my unicorn seemed to be $60K plus. I have no regrets and am really happy and excited with my purchase. I have a few posts but look forward to being part of the Porsche community and learning as much as I can.

there are a couple of sites that will create a build sheet for you from your VIN number. Here is one:
https://vinanalytics.com/
Also check out https://www.stuttcars.com/

Thanks tinkerbill. Yep I have the build sheet for the car. The owner had it and I also ran it through the vinanalytics before picking up the car. Those are great sites. It's mind blowing the amount of options that Porsche has, I have never seen anything else like it from another brand.

Scoutiipippen congratulations on your pending purchase! What did you wind up getting? Any advance pics?

Congrats on a beautiful first (or 20th) Porsche! It is a special build and looks fantastic. Of course I'm spoiled with the color!

Others have given great advice on baselining the car, maintenance, fluids, etc. The goodies will wait and be more enjoyable Also, this forum has so much knowledge and experience that you will never be alone. Check out the DIY items, phenomenal!

Wishing you lot's of great rides, memories, experiences and new Pcar friends.

Thanks SFZ GT3! Your GTS is so sweet looking, love those tires/rims with that stance, so nice. And of course the GT silver color.

Thanks! No night pics yet but did notice the subtle orange look at dusk in one pic that someone who also has GT Silver had mentioned....I like it.

Beautiful car and nice find I also have the black gauge cluster and love it. It was a no cost option whereas other colors, such as red, yellow or silver, were $860.
