Tires

I just installed the Michelin PS4S tires and could not be more happy with them. I was coming from Hankooks that the previous owner had on, and the ride is like night and day.
I paid $1,231.01 at Costco last week (they are having a promotion right now for 130 off).

Look at Tire Rack. Their pricing usually includes road hazard warranty and shipping now, while competitors don't. Check.

The dealer orders whatever I want from tire rack and installs them.
Price was competitive with Big'O and tire rack and one of their installers.
I just had Hankook RS4's put on for track and fun canyon driving.
I'll put the PS4's on the C2s for great street tires that also see Canyon runs. They can't quite handle the abuse on the track.

Not saying it's the case with Costco, but any time anyone offers a good deal on tires, the first thing I check is the manufacture date. I had a friend who got a great deal on tires, and the tires he bought were nearly 18 months old at the time of purchase.

Don’t know why anyone would buy from other than TireRack. Twenty years ago I went to an independent tire chain. TireRack stickers still on the tires. I now live where there is a TR warehouse and when I go pickup tires trucks from all chains are there picking up tires.

Which tires?
Have a 1987 911 cab with under 12,000. miles. Still running on original tires and know I should swap to new ones. Car is driven infrequently, only in nice and dry weather. Want a quiet tire that does not break the bank because they will age out before wearing out.

Yes Costco mounted & balanced them. They do not offer an alignment. They use nitrogen in the tires. I am curious about my manufacture date. I will have to take the Pepsi Challenge and look for myself. I had to make an appointment and wait. They said it would take 1.5 hrs to complete. A little while after they started my car I walked outside just to watch and I swear almost every one else stopped working on the Camery’s and mini vans and finished mine up in no time. Any time I want to add nitrogen I just have to pull up the bay door and ask. If I ever want to have all the nitrogen removed and put back in I will have to make an appointment. I will definitely use Costco tires again if there are no problems w/ the

Thanks,
What I do with my car is put a 1/4 cup of slime in each tire once a month. The tires last forever. A few plugs along the way.
I have bought tires from tire rack and Costco. great prices and have had great service. etc.
But...There is a great tire place in Sacramento that I use. They will always price match (or come close) the cost from either place with top notch service and they work on upper end cars. Just ask any tire dealer to match tire rack prices and they will match or come close.
Love the feel of new tires.

I've had Michelin PS4S on two different cars now and have been extremely happy.....this includes track days and autocross days for both....I've found them to be easy to dial in on pressures and super predictable over the course of a day
