Congrats! One truly amazing car. And the stories of your previous Porsches will definitely help me making the decision of keeping my current one (and 1st 911). I'm sure in another 30 years I will look back and be happy that I made the decision to keep this one instead of selling or trading it for something newer. If I want a newer/better car I will make it an addition, the 30-40k trade in value is not enough for me to part with this one, especially thinking how much memory it has shared and will be sharing with me.

Re your questions, I'll do my best on answers as a "less than 1 week" owner of the GTS!

1. AFAIK, the GTS is a "standard" widebody like the C4S and TT of that era. To the best of my knowledge the front fenders are the same as the standard 997.2. All, please chime in with better info if I am mistaken.
2. The fronts are 7MM from FVD, and I agree they are the perfect amount of "stance".
3. Read a bunch about all 3 suppliers (Eibach, H&R, Tech Art) and could have gone with any of them. Eibachs are a 20mm (about .8") drop from standard PASM which my car has. If it had been the Sport PASM option, then I would not have dropped it further, because that is already dropped a total of 20mm from stock. Again, for all the 997 gurus out there, please chime in if I am mistaken.
For the front fenders, I've never heard anything different than what you say so I'm pretty sure that's correct. Only the rear width varies on the 997. It's been said before but worth repeating. One of the cool things about the RWD 997 GTS is that it's the only widebody RWD 997 except for the GT3 RS and the GT2. Only had AWD C4S 997's prior to the current car and it does make a difference. I wouldn't call it dramatic but the steering wheel feedback becomes more lively with RWD.

As for the springs, my understanding is that the Eibachs and the Techarts are the same thing with different labels. Drop is around 1" even all around. H&R's adds another .25" to the drop. Doesn't sound like much but the difference in stance is noticeable if you look for it. I've had both Eibach's and H&R's and the ride quality is same as stock as far as I'm concerned. Many disagree with this assessment though....

Thanks all for your kind words and warm welcome to the 997.2 community. And to the Raleigh/NC area members, are any of you planning to attend the Sandhills Motoring Festival over Memorial Day weekend. I do plan to attend with my Porsche buddy in Cary and will be judging early air cooled cars in the Sunday Concours. Link here: https://www.sandhillsmotoringfestival.com/

And just for grins here is a pic of our 997.1 C2S Cobalt Blue Aerokit Coupe. Another one that got away!
