@Radmd74, Thanks for the tips. Will give it a try. So porsche #25? that's too much fun. Ever regret giving up 1 of them along the way?
Regrets?? Haha, damn near everyone. Here are the top ones that I miss the most:
1967 912/5 Coupe, Polo Red/Black. My first new Porsche, bought in June, 1967 by twin brother Frank and me. We co-owned that til 1969 when he bought his own 912, a 69 5 spd in Tangerine Orange. I kept that 912 til 1988 and got engaged to my wife (then and now) in it in 1968 and started our joint Porsche "Treffen" that continues to this day. S/N 460307 in case anyone knows where it is today.
1969 911S, SR Coupe, Ossi Blue/Black sport seats. 2.2L upgrade, full street/track setup. Started HPDE with that in 1985 and it still sets a high bar as a wonderful street/track tool.
1973 911Carrera RS Touring, upgraded 2.8L motor. Imported from Italy in good street condition. Ran HPDE in its unrestored form for 2 years and had a ball on street and track with it. Shared that one with Frank too and we decided to redo it in correct white/blue color and upgrade wheels, interior, etc. Decided it was "too nice" for track duty and sold it for all the money, $70K!!!! Lesson 1: hold, don't sell!
1992 964 Carrera Cup Car; one of 45 ever built for the still born US Cup Car Series that never took off. Again, shared with my brother Frank, ours was #21 of 45 These were the only "street legal" fully certified (EPA and DOT) Cup Cars ever sold in the US through the dealer channel. About half of these had been converted by Andial (Porsche Motorsports in the day) into race trim and ours was one of them. To be sold at retail, it had to be converted back to street form. After buying it, we had Brad Kettler at Rohr Motorsports in Indianapolis build it back to the exact trim in which it would have raced. We ran PCA Club Racing and other HPDE events all over the eastern half of the US with that car and NEVER had an issue. Ran Summit Point, WG, VIR, Mid Ohio, Road America, and Lime Rock from 1992 til 2000. And decided to sell it for "all the money", $80K. See Lesson 1 above!
1955 356 (pre A) Normal Speedster, Tangerine Orange. Bought for $4500, and my wife and I did a nice "amateur" restoration on it from 1980 til '85. Sold it to good PCA friends for $14K.....Another Lesson learned! Oh, BTW, she never even got a ride in it before it was sold. Still hearing about that to this day!
1963 356B T6 Super Coupe, Signal Red/Black, electric sunroof, 18K miles since new, no paint or bodywork ever. Had to be interviewed by the seller to make sure my wife and I passed muster to take over stewardship. He was an older gentleman (listen to me!) and suffered from arthritis and could no longer enter and exit the car very well. We simply freshened the car, had a minor ding on the rear bumper expertly repaired by a local 356 master. Enjoyed that car on PCA rides, shows, etc., and sold it to other good PCA friends (who still have it) in 1990 for "all the money", $25K. At the risk of repeating myself, see "Lesson Learned" above.
Many other fun Porsches (and others) including 5 aircooled 911's, 2 944's, 2 964's, 3 944Turbo's, 928, 968, 993, 997.1 AeroKit, 964 GT3) along the way. No 914 ever, not sure why, but pretty much at least one of everythng built from 1954 (a rusty, roller coupe that we bought to pick apart for parts for our Speedster), up through a wonderful 991.1 C2S, PDK, Racing Yellow Coupe that I sold to another RL member earlier this month to make way for the GTS.
Nice 997 GTS! She's a beauty. Did you notice a significant difference after changing the engine mounts. I'm contemplating doing that with my 2012 with 85K.
Enjoy!!
Hey Steve! We met Saturday morning at the St Augustine Cars and Coffee. I was drooling at your GTS from the moment you arrived. Beautiful car. I'm sure we'll see each other at a future North FL event.
Cheers!
Tony
Thanks Tony (and to all the other posters) for your thoughts and good wishes. I am truly blessed to have made so many good friends, shared so many wonderful memories, and been accompanied on this journey by 2 very special co-pilots; my wife Joanne (50 years this July!) and my twin brother Frank who has been there since the drop of the green flag!!

Didn't do motor mounts, but did do all 4 upper strut mounts as one of them was found to be noisy during the PPI. Only have 21K on the car now, so hopefully motor mounts are still OK.
Noticed you said oil changes annually. If I'm driving the gts 1k Mile yearly, annual oil change should suffice? Particular oil brand advised?

Congrats. Thats my dream car right there. Absolutely gorgeous and love the Carrera Sports.
Questions:
1. Does the GTS have wider font fenders? They seem slightly flared compared to mine.
2. What size spacers did you go with in the front? They look nicely flush.
3. Why did you go with Eibachs, I think through GTS was already dropped.

Thanks TheBruce, I share your thoughts on this one!
Re your questions, I'll do my best on answers as a "less than 1 week" owner of the GTS!
1. AFAIK, the GTS is a "standard" widebody like the C4S and TT of that era. To the best of my knowledge the front fenders are the same as the standard 997.2. All, please chime in with better info if I am mistaken.
2. The fronts are 7MM from FVD, and I agree they are the perfect amount of "stance".
3. Read a bunch about all 3 suppliers (Eibach, H&R, Tech Art) and could have gone with any of them. Eibachs are a 20mm (about .8") drop from standard PASM which my car has. If it had been the Sport PASM option, then I would not have dropped it further, because that is already dropped a total of 20mm from stock. Again, for all the 997 gurus out there, please chime in if I am mistaken.
