^^ You can probably grind a couple grand off that $22K price if u walk in with cash
Important to have PPI done due to the fact it's a dealer car and who knows if it's something they bought at auction/etc
Would be a fun toy at $18K if PPI looks decent

...and you can use some show polish on those worn areas of sport seats but as they are they look good for 151K miles - Hell the seats alone are worth $4K
**Also looks like it has clear bra? The area around the close up of the Porsche badge on hood looks like it could be the seam edge of clear bra??

Keep us posted

Also does anyone know of an extended warranty company that would consider a 14 year old 150k mile 911.

Thanks!
If you hear any loud ticking sound during idle, proceed with caution. Check to see how the clutch is; firm pedal or slipping through the RPM's are some signs that it's done. A car w/out a service history and at 152K could mean 1 of 2 things. The maintenance could be up to date or not and you'll have to bring it up to date.

If everything looks good and it drives well, schedule a complete and through PPI with bore scoping.

I know in CA, extended warranties are valid on vehicles upon 10 yrs old so you might want to check your area for coverage limitations.

Idle or during a light rev similar to a valve ticking. Keep in mind, that sound is often mistaken and misdiagnosed so it could be a false flag. Check out Jake's Rennvision channel. He has very informative videos specifically on Bore Scoring and the IMS bearing on 997's.

In your case, I would only proceed with a PPI if the car looks in well kept condition and if the price is under 25K. A PPI will have show how well it was kept but you should be able to get an idea of how well the car has been kept upon your initial impression.

Get a PPI if you love the car.

If not move along.

There is nothing cheap about a low priced high mile Porsche. NOTHING>

PS when used car dealer says like new and well kept on a 152k mi 14 year old car with no service records RUN. Ever heard of lipstick on a PIG. Caveat Emptor

Looks well kept for 150k miles. That visor has got to go.

Looks like a good deal on a nice car.
It will have the smaller IMS bearing unless it has been changed, you can probably use that in your negotiations. The dealer will not know if it has been upgraded.
If the PPI checks out go for it. I wouldn't hesitate now that you posted the link.

I remember that 500k turbo story. Still have that issue of the magazine. Absolutely love it

Yeah wow, that is a really great price IMO. If I were the seller I wouldn’t budge on price, at $22k that is a total steal

Chances are that car is in great condition and will last a long time. And at that it is under-priced. Here in the US, some of us have a phobia for miles in a car. In Europe 150k miles is considered normal and good use of the car.

This seems backwards to me. I would set a budget first and then look for cars that fit into that budget and include enough money for taxes, maintenance and a warranty if I wasn't an outstanding wrencher. (Porsche mechanic)

Take your budget and find the best Porsche you can. Finding an affordable Porsche like this $20k one (just purchase) may have you spending way more to bring it up to standards and keep running well in the years to come than finding a solid car now. Also look at what you will have in residual value 50,000 miles from now. 200k miles with the big IMS and the BS and D-chunk genetics is worth considering.

Looks like a trade in at Rusnak. The rear license plate still has the Rusnak dealer plate in one of the photos. If Rusnak couldn’t sell the car or one of the tech guys didn’t pick it up at that price I’m intrigued. Most likely it couldn’t sell and they dealer auctioned the car locally.

I couldn’t agree more. I just did my differential flush, radiator flush, brake fluid flush, oil change, coil packs, spark plugs, tensioner belt and water pump. It cost me around $700 in just parts. If you aren’t mechanically inclined, plan to spend an extra $800-$1000 in labor.

Thanks!
They're fairly rare i've had a 05 C2S Launch Edition for 10 years and racked up just under 100k miles. I'm still on the stock PCCB pads but a service yesterday says I should change them in the next 3,500 miles. I'm looking at $900 total for a full set of pads ((front/rear) from Suncoast. Keep in mind that equates to 44lbs of unsprung weight off all four corners of a Carrera S - it's going to be the most agile stock 997 C2S you drive, huge difference in handling.

150k miles is a lot on the motor for any 911. If you can get it super cheap maybe consider sending up to LN for a 4.0 build and then keep the car for many years. I think this is a better option than buying a used 997.2 for the same money.
