Default 997.2 Owners...Free App Allows BT Audio Streaming

I found this while browsing the app store...thought it might be of interest to .2 owners wanting to stream audio (music and nav directions) through BT without needing any added hardware. Haven’t used it myself so not endorsing.

My assumption is that it plays the sounds through the phone call BT range. Audio quality is going to be horrendous.

My thoughts exactly. I am assuming that the sound quality would be akin to someone singing to you over the phone. Maybe it would be great for listening to audio books or podcasts while driving.

You could very well be right. I haven't tried it (mine's a .1 and I've got a Tranzit BLU HF that has A2DP and phone capabilities), but since the app is free the worst can happen is you delete the app and go buy a hardware device.

Ok. I am willing to try stuff like this. First of all it is a free seven day trial. Secondly, it sounded awful. It basically sounded like old AM radio complete with static and pops. I won’t use it, but it didn’t cost anything to try. It did connect quickly and easily. It did work....ie you could make sounds from your phone come through your car audio system. iPhone X here.

Thanks for being the guinea pig so the rest of us don't have to try it. I am happy with my $20 MPOW module from Amazon. The reason the audio was so bad is because BT phone and streaming audio are 2 different BT profiles - I think streaming is A2DP.
