Default Carbon fibre trims for Porsche 997 Turbo

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some carbon fibre door pocket lids (left and right) and was wondering whether someone here in the forum could help out. THese things seem to be terribly expensive if purchased new and I was wondering whether one of you guys would know where to get these cheap (and it doesnt matter if they are second hand). Pictures of the current pocket lids are attached! In fact I would also need the little piece, also left and right, that goes right in front of the door lids.

A lof ot thanks in advance for suggestions and help!,

Tim

I have these from DB Carbon. Basically new - they're $600 new - yours for $350 if you'd like them.

It’s unfortunate that most factory 997 carbon fiber delaminates and ends up like that.

Just curious, why would someone want an arm rest that is hard as a rock?

Hi Tim - I do not unfortunately have those. I'll send you a private message with details and my paypal email.

Thanks much!

I had those same carbon pieces and the carbon delaminated. Though I'm a huge fan of CF interior trim, I took the opportunity to replace them with black leather covered versions, which are much more comfortable from an armrest perspective.

Good deal on those though.

Petza,

Thanks for your response in that chat here. So but then you wouldn't have these as spare parts either ? Not the pocket lids but the pieces that come in front of it?

THanks a lot,
Tim

Those pieces were OK, so I didn't replace them and they're still installed. It was just the pocket covers that came apart. Sorry.

How do you install these?

I have two sets of these carbon fiber door trims. This set is brand new. Totally unused, but they are nicely “sealed” with Menzerna Power Lock for long lasting UV and wear resistance. Basically perfect condition. These are really of a very high quality. Comparable to DB, et al. Sam, the owner of Carbonlution, is a pleasure to work with, as many owners here will attest. Install takes literally less than a minute per side!

I just paid something like $220 + international shipping. I’m asking just $169, shipped (via UPS/FedEx Ground, in CONUS), and including all PayPal fees.
Price if firm. No lowballers please. Great deal for very nice pieces. Thanks, RL!

Are these just the CF covers or the whole armrest lid? To replace the lid the door panel has to come off.

I second just swapping those for more comfortable and durable leather pieces. You can find complete used interior door pieces on eBay for a few hundred bucks these days and swap out what you need.
