I looked over the pictures again and I'm starting to think I didn't guess high enough at $57,500. This car looks to be in great condition and with the low miles, and being a 4S, it could get up into Samini territory (>$65k). Should be fun to see what happens!

 

Good luck everyone! I decided to pass on this car. I can;t stomach buying from Auction or Dealer.
There's a nice 07 C4S w/40K miles close to me at dealer and just can't stand the idea of paying the ridiculous 20% premium w/poor service history/etc.

Think it’ll end up 63,900 . But really think seller just sorta engaged, and bubble might be starting to fade and it’ll end up 52 or so.
Rob the Hack Mechanic had great original 2002 auction that didn’t generate much bidding of value. He should have gotten 10-15 more than final bid imo and didn’t even hit reserve. Might be seeing start of the end for buyermania. Who knows, I sure don’t!

 

28k mile 2007 C2S just sold for $54.5k

 

Great price, but even more stunning is a 996 C2 with similar mileage that sold for the same price as this 997 last week.

 

Holy cow, those guys are off the frickin rocker.

 

As someone very keen to buy a green cab, the last two water cooled green 911s to get sold on BAT do not inspire confidence. I love green but you can get a lot of car, hell, even a lot of 911, for similar or not much more in price.

 

I'm new to the forum, purchased my first 997 around 2 years ago. I wonder how the current 996/997 market compares to the time period air cooled took off? Maybe a member with greater perspective can provide insight.

 

I think the air cooled market moved faster...I recall my 69 911 doubling in value within 5 yrs and it had slowly been creeping up for the prior 15 yrs

 

Current bid is $47k. Lack of DME which was brought to light today may hold it back, but we shall see with an hour to go.
