A potential bidder and BaT newby, moosetaco, went and looked at the car. The dealership wouldn't let him drive it - they wouldn't even start it for him. He wondered if it was okay to comment on the car. I sort of nudged him and said gloves off for a douchebag dealer like that. He is now posting every little nit big and small. I'm behind him all the way. Somebody shows up and wants to hear a car they may be bidding on and you don't start it up? WTF.

 

Your boy moosetaco is putting them through the ringer. I can see not letting someone take it out in the rain or whatever but why not at least start the car for a potential buyer? If nothing else it was entertaining reading how the relationship progressed or regressed and moosetaco let loose of the moose.

 

I wouldn't be happy as a potential buyer not getting a reply back from a DM but I wouldn't be happy as a potential seller if some random guy showed up to test drive the car while I wasn't there. It seems like the dealership should have had a plan for visitors even if the main guy selling is out. If I ever sell a car on BaT, I will take the week off from work to indulge buyers with test drives/photos/etc.

 

Pretty dangerous these days to be crapping on someone's live auction listing, unless of course you don't have anything to lose.

It would have between interesting if that $55,997 had stuck and won, since jkoravos and jimfuerst were within $3 of each other, and jkoravos was on the mark exactly. I'm not crazy about bids being within +/- $250 of someone else's bid
