While sitting in Los Angeles traffic in my 07 c2s this morning, I hit the gas to squeeze into another lane that was moving better. As soon as I eased up on the gas, the psm and abs lights went on. I drove for a few more minutes, hoping that the lights would go off. When I exited the freeway 5 minutes later, I turned the car off, restarted it, and the check engine light was on with the message that I needed to take the car to a workshop (no abs or psm lights were on).
I took the car to my indy this afternoon, who connected the car to his computer. The only code that came up was 4206, front left wheel sensor (no fault system available). He cleared the code and I drove to dinner then home with no return of the check engine light.
Anybody had something similar happen? How long before the check engine light returned?
Haven't had it happen on the Porsche. But rather on a Toyota FJ Cruiser. It was easy to replace, cleaned the Pick up area from the road grime and all was well.
How old is your battery and how fully charged was it? Both of those errors occur when you disconnect then reconnect the battery, then go away when you drive. Almost sounds like there was a voltage drop that triggered them.

I have had the car for nearly a year, but I haven’t had any issues with the battery since owning. I hadn’t disconnected the battery in months. The car hasn’t had any issues starting.

Any recent brake or tire work where someone may have disturbed that wheel speed sensor or its connection?
