It works as advertised. Reduces the throws and you will not bang the leg of your passenger when going into 3rd or 5th.

It makes shifting so much better. Good investment.

The Porsche 997 Short shifter is the way to go part # 997-424-983-00. You know it's the short version when you see a blue plastic base swivel at the bottom of the stick..Makes a huge difference in the precision and quality feel when shifting. Really makes you feel more connected with the shifting mechanism and also works really great in merging all the controls better together. The pressure/tension relationship between clutch, steering, braking, shifting will feel more as one unit. The B&M short shift units are cheaper and ok, but become a bit notchy and heavy over the long term. The OEM short shifter is the way to go every time! Highly recommend it!!

Have the OEM SSK in my car and it shifts great. When my OEM plastic cable ends fail, I'll replace the cables with the Numeric ones I have in the parts cabinet that have the metal ends.
