Default car cover question

Finally got a cover for my base 09 car, coverking, fits really snugly, however the two times I have used it since, both times it blew off the back and front of the car. When I put it on, it was very tight to the body (fit well onto the car), and both times secured with the cable and lock. The only thing I can think of is that the car is highly polished, not sure if that is causing issues?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

It's supposed to fit tight, if it moved around the rubbing of the car cover on the paint could cause scratches. I thought mine always fit a little tight, but after hearing your story, maybe not. I have to put mine on in a certain order, first the side mirrors, then the front, then the back. I use the AMMO waterless wash system to clean the car before putting it on (in winter). No access to water this time of year and of course you want the paint clean before applying the car cover. I use a Porsche outdoor cover. Best of luck with your car cover - what brand on you using? Here is a photo from last weekend.

I would mark on the.covwr at the bottom a location for a front and rear additional strap, then take it to a boat cover or upholstery shop and have them add some grommets at those locations, then get some long 4' bungee cords from one of the home improvement stores - 1 under the front side to side and one in the rear.

The lock will keep it secure and the bungees will keep it on. I haven't had that issue with my 928 when covered outside for short periods, even when windy.

Did you buy a fitted cover or just the general size cover from Coverking. Mine is fitted and fits perfectly. No need to use the cable.

I got the custom fit from Coverking, and it's very snug to the body, which is why I was surprised that it keeps blowing off (been mildly windy). I will have a look at the Super snaps, thanks for the link.

You should try contacting Coverking. I’m sure the would try to make it right.
