Default Gen 2 running light problem - replace a single bulb?

I have a 997 Gen 1 which the previous owner updated to Gen 2 front lights. Yesterday one of my front daylight running lights has failed. The unit still has a working indicator/turn light and a working fog light.

Is there a way to purchase and replace just the daylight running strip rather than the whole unit???

Any help much appreciated.

Are you using the horizontal fiber optic portion as the DRL rather than the LED fog portion? If so, that's not a standard setup, which is fine, but it means there's some extra wiring somewhere. First thing I'd do is remove both lights and plug them in to the opposite side connectors to see if in fact the light itself is bad. Because there was additional wiring done, it's possible the connector or ground they did for the light on that one side isn't any good and why that side stopped working.
