Default 997 Happy Hour

Cut out early today and hit the back roads with @Wayne Smith and @david. Great way to start the weekend.

Wish I could have taken more pics but we were driving too fast :-)

Bruce, where is this? Looks desolate to say the least. Great looking shots, thanks for sharing.

Beautiful. This is what owning a nice car is about. Take it to some nice driving roads and have fun.

Jumping in here: we started in the Terra Linda/Marinwood area of San Rafael (Lucas Valley Rd & Las Gallinas Ave), headed through Lucas Valley > Nicasio Valley Rd > Pt Reyes - Petaluma Rd > Hicks Valley Rd > Chileno Valley Rd > Tomales - Petaluma Rd > Shoreline Hwy > Pt Reyes - Petaluma Rd and back to Nicasio & the east side. (I created a map but the image uploader on this site is buggy so no luck...I can send it to you via PM if you desire...)

Considering it is a holiday, there was quite a bit daylight and as always, Chileno Valley Rd was, as suggested, desolate. When traffic didn't yield to our short train, we hung back and waited the traffic out. Many times people would let us pass so cheers to that! To say the least, spending time with like-minded gear-heads is special; the only downside was that we didn't have a long enough hall pass to drive further...

I was going to change my water pump this morning but did this instead. I figured it was my duty for you poor guys who's cars are buttoned up for the winter :-)

6 air cooled hot rods, a GT3, GT4, a Dino, an old Alfa and 2 997s. The sound and smell of that pack ripping up Skyline Drive to Alice's was pretty cool. And then a McLaren Senna pulled up and put everyone to shame.
