Default Is my hood bent?

The alignment between the leading edge of my hood and the edge of the front bumper cover has a dip in it. It’s flush on the passenger side, but the hood dips below the bumper cover on the driver’s side slightly (maybe 1/8 inch), and then comes back up and is flush again where it aligns with the fender. It bugs the hell out of me.Any quick fix for this?

Can you post a picture?

Did you try adjusting the rubber bump stops??

It’s more likely that the plastic bumper cover is deformed than the hood.

But, it shouldn’t be terribly difficult with a bright light to see which one of them is off.

Maybe the PO closed the frunk lid by pushing in the wrong spot a lot?

That's what I think too - I was hoping someone has some experience with readjusting this kind of thing.

A previous post indicated most his sit a bit lower than the bumper surround. Some figured this was aerodynamics. However, the difference should be consistent across the width. Adjustment ... not sure.

If trunk lid has a bend, any experienced auto body shop can take the bend out

its bent. probably from pushing too hard when shutting. you can probably bend it back without causing any damage
