If the struts are shot you should be able to tell just by pushing down on each corner. If bounces like an old Cadillac its likely your struts. If you are hearing a knocking at low speed over bumps its either your strut mounts, your control arm bushings, or a bad wheel bearing. I think you can diagnose the latter 2 just by trying to wiggle each wheel while its off the ground.
I have lowering springs and just replaced my right rear strut mount for the same reason. The struts were firm, no play in any wheels, but when I went over bumps I would hear a knocking noise coming from my right rear wheel. Ive since heard this is pretty common issue for guys with lowering springs.

Can you identify which wheel(s) its coming from?

Been thinking of new suspension myself (80k mi, not sure if on original suspension or not, but I feel like they're pretty worn). I was considering Ohlins R&T but I'll definitely be doing more R than T, to which I've heard they're overkill for. Are the BC coils easy to adjust the ride height/dampening? Was it a self install or did you take it to a shop? the website says "minimum 2" drop" which I think may be a bit too low... what are your thoughts? $1200 ish sounds better than $2700 ish to me, but the ohlins are proven...

When I had my C4S with 55,000 miles, the suspension didn't feel super tight. Something was "off": the car was bouncy at speeds, compared to a friend's C2S with lower miles. I sold the car a few months later, but I do wonder if there is a suspension life expectancy on a high performing car. I wouldn't notice the shocks wearing out on my 14-year old Tacoma, but my buddy repairs motorcycle and bicycle suspension, and overhauls are required every 60-75 hours.
The C2S, in comparison, felt locked down. Does the 4S ride high and soft?
