Default New to me 997.2 C4S

Back again...couldn't live without one and just got into my 3rd 997. I've had a 2006 S and a 2010 base previously, both manual. Assumed I would go up to a 991 this time but drove them and they reminded me too much of my S6 (daily) and wanted something more raw feeling. After casually searching I pulled the trigger on the car below at Danbury Porsche with 34k miles. Came with winter wheels/tires (pictured) and summer wheels/tires. Has partial leather, sport chrono and sport exhaust.

Two big changes for me are the 4S and PDK. I'm enjoying both so far. Mods will be few:

- Replace some of the lighting - including rear tail lights and center reflector due to some spidering and pitting. If anyone knows where i can source these used vs. spending a ton on OEM new please let me know.
- Replace the C4S badging on decklid. Previous owner plasti-dipped or painted them and it is starting to chip.

Also, I'm thinking about selling the 2016 CPO S6 (33k miles) if anyone in the Northeast is interested.

Good to be back and more pics to come.

Oh man, that pushes a lot of my buttons. Good choice.

Love Meteor Gray (mine is Meteor Gray) and I think the speedster stone deflector looks best on this color.

Love the wheels (and I'm usually not an aftermarket wheel fan) and the color. I had my winter wheels refinished in black chrome, like BMW uses on the M cars. Yours look like a similar color. You even have the red S, like me.

Love the wide-body cars. I guess I'm an ***-man, and the wide haunches of the 4 and 4S cars is really nice.

You even got the Makassar dash trim. I bought this for my car to match my Makassar steering wheel. It looks really good against the gray interior.

We may be brothers from another mother.

Yes has PSE! Like it...would prefer a bit more "burble" but no plans to change anything.

Thanks! It's the best looking (IMO) color combo and was worried about the stone guards but they have quickly grown on me. I'm also not a fan of aftermarket wheels but LOVE these winter wheels. The summer wheels I'm not a huge fan of. Will post a pic of those when I get a chance.

Beauty. Identical to my -09 C4S except for seats and wheels. Nice set of winter wheels btw. Looks like you have full leather interior as opposed to "partial" as you said. I see stitching everywhere it should be with full leather. If you change your mind on not changing anything, the exhaust is easily and relatively inexpensively fixed by replacing the center muffler with crossover pipes from Sharkwerks, Fabspeed or Billy Boat. You retain the PSE quiet/loud option so you can still be quiet when you want to but it really wakes it up when you push that tailpipe button. Since you have some misgivings about the exhaust note now I highly doubt you would regret this mod.

Liking it a lot...more than I thought i would. The car seems a little "heavier" than my last two. I think it's all in my head but that's what happens with these cars. Only thing that is weird is a faint "clunk" when going from P to D or vise versa. Looked up in the forums and that seems to be normal.

Thank you. Wasn't sure if it was full leather or not as I've never had it. Agree with crossover...I live just a few miles from Fabspeed and AWE so it's very tempting.
