997 - Child Car Seat Best Practices?
I'm looking to get into my first Porsche, and I was thinking of starting with a 997. I work from home, but this will be a "daily driver" (~5,000 miles a year). I will need to be able to tow one child in a front-facing car seat from time to time. She turns 3 soon (~30 pounds).
How practical is this? Is there a "best" car seat for the 997 that people like?
Were the child seat latches options on the 997 that I have to go looking for, or are they in all the Carrera models?
Any and all feedback appreciated. Thanks. Looking forward to dumping my wife's old Acura and getting back into something with a little pep for the first time since I sold my 2015 M3 18 months ago.

My 4 year old was in the back with a booster of a cabrio. Cabrios have less space back there.
Well, 20 mins into the ride (top up) he got car sick and spewed all over the rear. He now sits up front when I have him in tow. The Cabrio rear is not that comfy even for munckins.
Don't know if you were considering cabrio, but that is my experience.

I've been using a Cosco forward facing seat in the back of my C2 Coupe for a few months now.
My son is 1.5 years old, 25lbs and seems to fit fine there.
There are a few threads on this, you will have to make a small cut in the rear parcel shelf to gain access to the anchor.
As for anchoring the "base side", you will have to improvise - towels and other mechanisms to keep the seat from moving a lot.
Removing the stock seat base helped in my case.
The front passenger seat didn't have to be moved all the way forward yet.
It's mostly me and him in the P-car these days.
That said, I don't venture on the highways with him in the car, just to and from his daycare facility.
On highways, besides the obvious safety concern, there is also road noise.
Thanks
Shyam

I use a Radian R100 rear facing. Others recommended Radian because they're narrower than other brands. I would also add that they're sturdier (albeit heavier) despite the lower profile form-factor.

Harmony Dreamtime. Remove the seat bottom and backrest on the side the seat will be fitted (or both sides) which let's the base slide back to the base of the seat area where it meets the wall. Put a towel down to protect the carpet from any spills.

The Harmony seat is one of the few seats which also fits the convertible by the way.

If you are looking for a forward facing seat with a harness, the Britax Marathon Clicktight is the way to go. Others here have recommended it and I recently purchased one. It installs extremely tight with the shoulder belt, no need for towels. The 997 does not have latch anchors and finding a seat that works with the weird placement of the belt buckle in the 997 is a challenge. I tried two seats before the Britax.

I'm in the same boat as you, the 997 is my "daily" - work from home and drive 3k ish miles a year. The Britax Marathon is probably the best option for a front facing seat for you. I've done the daycare run a few times a week in the 997 since my kid was 6 months old (3.5yo now). For front facing, it was actually easier getting him in/out of the 997 vs a Macan until we got one of those swiveling car seats.
