Creaking noise in steering

Creaking noise in steering
Anyone experienced this issue. 2007 C4S, 45,000 miles. When car is warm after diving 100 or more miles just moving steering wheel back and forth with car stationary, causes a creaking sound. It sound as though the sound comes from forward of the dashboard. Is this anything other renlisters have experience with?

Initially I thought this creaking was coming from front suspension. But can’t replicate by bouncing front of car only by moving steering wheel back and forth.

Likely the strut mounts.

If not the strut top mounts, could also be the front sway bar bushings
