Default PDK - clutch and transmission oil change

Is there a definitive list of what parts are needed for these two jobs (PDK clutch and transmission oil change) for a 2010 C2? Apart from the oil itself of course.

I'd like to bring the necessary parts to the dealer for this kind of job as it'll be cheaper for me to source the parts separately, even with Porsche Club discount.

I didn't even realise that these are two different jobs, not just PDK oil clutch change that is required to be undertaken,

I would suggest you diy the transmission oil change. Its a very simple drain and fill procedure with no special tools necessary. Just make sure you buy the right oil from porsche for it.
PDK clutch oil is best left to a very good indy or dealer as you need the PIWIS computer for it

Only way you can diy the pdk clutch oil change is to jack the left side of the car up the appropriate amount so you can get the right amount of fluid in. Not complicated but a little tricky. Dealer and PIWIS is the best way to go for most. It takes a little under 4 litres of fluid for a pdk clutch drain n fill.

69911 did a diy on his boxster pdk a few years ago, he posted it in the below thread. He is the only one with the cajoles that I know of , who diy'd it.

So from what I understand:

For transmission oil flush, I will need the filter and pan, like this one

For PDK oil change, there is no other part required apart form the oil itself.

I'm not looking to DIY, I'd just want to bring the parts to the dealer and save the dealer's markup in the process.

Wow - that's inexpensive. I'd make sure he got a great holiday gift come December.

Good deal. But if I understand correctly there's two oil changes areas involved and this one may have only changed one. Anyone technically more competent than I that can answer?

The above is an invoice provided to a customer from a Service Advisor at a Porsche dealer. I'm not sure what was done exactly nor do I believe did the SA or the customer.

I was quoted for 6 litres $242 parts, but in actual fact only 4 , $189 are used in the drain and fill.
Below is my invoice for the PDK clutch oil service change with out pan removal. 4 litres of pentosin was used.

So the pan removal is for transmission oil flush, and not PDK clutch oil flush?

pan removal is for pdk clutch fluid. That is the more complicated procedure to be done with a PIWIS.

The other oil is a very simple drain and fill, easier than an oil change.

that was the recepit for the macan
I'll post the rightone later when I get home

Anyway. The transmission fluid does not need changed unless you are at 120,000 miles
The clutch fluid does. Thats the 6yr/60K change that docdrs showed the receipt for and there is a link in the thread of them changing the clutch fluid on his car. Takes 4-6L of fluid. Total capacit is listed at 5.2L in the workshop manual but refill volume is listed as "as much as it takes"
The pan only needs dropped if they have a problem with the drain plug which from what I read was common during early production PDK's, so no you should not need a pan.

What I quoted is for the PDK clutch fluid change. The Pan only needs to be replaced on early 09 PDK as the drain plug had a propensity to be stripped. IIRC thus requiring pan replacement. Later models can just have a drain and fill procedure.

dgkjs6 job 1 is what I had done. 6 litres is what I was quoted , but only 4 is used, but he got a smoking deal on the fluid anyhow. They replaced both drain and fill plugs on my PDK. Looks like He also had the had the front diff done on his C4S (job 2) but 2 different oils are supposed to be used , one for the clutch $$$ and another for the diff $. so not sure if it was done correctly. Appears as though his transmission gear oil was not touched, as he states is a 120,000 interval. jmo

Ah yes, I read that pan replacement is most common got the early ones.

Thanks for your input, makes the whole thing quite clear.

I thought Porsche has standard charges for all jobs which means customers don't get variation between different dealers.
