Whats the value...
Im thinking about selling my car now to go a different direction. Ill probably put it on rennlist but im not sure of what other sources attract porsche enthusiasts.
here are the specs...
2007 911 c2s
72000 miles
msrp of $109000
car is completely unmolested. The only mods it has ever had was an evo intake and tubi mufflers. It will be factory stock.
tiptronic
it has factory aero package
factory sport wheel
sport chrono
i404 option forged turbo wheels in the correct nb fitment
full leather
center console in silver
bose
lighted sills
the body and paint is mint. It has full front end in paint protection film. No curb rash.
New tires.
new brakes
5k mile oil changes.
Awesome documentation.
the car has a bumper to bumper warranty until 2021 or 112,000 miles!
what do you guys think?
thanks
mike

Mike, what's the new plan?
Not too many factory aero cars showing up lately. With full leather and sport chrono, I'd say $42k, but because its a Tip, a bit lower, maybe $38k-$40k.

Thanks for taking the time to respond Pete.
I have vehicular ADHD and literally cant seem to keep a car for more than a year so this time I think I may swap the 911 for an S5. I have had a low 11 second S5 before and a guy is considering developing an even higher hp power adder that could turn it into a 10 second car easily and its just a car I feel much more comfortable wrenching on and breaking if it happens. Id rather pop a mass production engine in an S5 that I can find used for 3 grand. I like the 911 alot but its not a car I want to do any "modding" too. I like its factory appearance.
Do you think the bumper to bumper warranty adds much value? I'm considering just cashing in the warranty. I believe I can still get $3500 back out of it.
Thanks,
mike

S5 is probably my favorite regular Audi (R8 being a non-regular one)
On the warranty, I think it's really going to depend on the buyer. A buyer with enough knowledge to be dangerous but not well informed will worry about the IMS since it's a .1 car so to him yes, it probably adds value. Will someone buy it for $3,500 more with the warranty - I doubt it, and would cash it out or offer it at one price with the warranty and a $3,500 lower price without. Any price delta less than $3,500 and you're better off cashing it in.

I think you cast a wider net with the warranty. I'd keep it because with bore scoring, d-chunk and IMS a warranty is almost essential. New buyer will want one and at 72,000 miles they really start to get expensive. AFAIK Fidelity factors miles when pricing warranties.
