Helps for sure and makes them easier to clean. You can actually blow the dust back off even if they look dirty - keeps it from bonding.

Thanks folks! I'm going to try 303 tomorrow before heading down to Werks.

@Pete - I also used the AA Outlast Brake Dust Repellant. I found the original formula in the smaller can worked great. The new, larger can didnt work as well so I stopped using it.

btw - did somebody on this thread recommend the bug and tar remover to remove tire gel buildup? If so, thanks!! Tried it last week and worked like a charm. Nothing else seemed to work but a couple shots of bug and tar on a wet rag did wonders. I was a little concerned as the instructions say only use on "non-porous" materials so I washed if off quickly and applied it on wet tires. It probably would have worked better on dry tires with a brush.

Duck fat works way better. Just don't get any on the tread you'll spin out on the first turn you make.

I've used the Zaino Z16 with great results, but I recently purchased the Gyeon Tire Q2M. Jury is still out on preference. It's not as shiny as the Zaino, but it may last longer and bond tighter.

Tire shine in only needed when you can drop the car to the ground and all that shows are the spokes and spinners. Otherwise soap and water.

It’s advisable to designate cleaning supplies for only the tires and wheels, such as wash brushes, buckets, towels, etc. That way you’ll avoid grinding particles that could be picked up from the tires onto the car’s body after the tire wash, which could cause scratches.

I know this thread was bumped after 4 years but just wanted to add I use aerospace 303. I did my rubber car mats thinking it would make them cleaner for awhile. Those things were slippery for weeks!

Made that mistake once in 2006. Never to repeat. I'd suggest washing the rubber mats with Simple Green. Maybe twice. GL.

I found 303 not to last for even 1 week in CA sun, although I did like the look of the more matte finish.

after using the 303 products for years, I think maybe I was convincing myself into liking them since one bottle last forever.
