Buy an OE Porsche waterpump in a Porsche box. With a Porsche part number.

Yeah, the water pump is one of those parts where I think you should just pay up and get the real deal.

Yes it is the same one that comes in the porsche box for 200 cheaper and includes the ceramic/composite impeller as opposed to the metal ones on the graf and gebba. I would get the pierburg no question. Even if the oem wasnt pierburg which it is id choose a pierburg pump every time

OP, here is the OEM pump...

If you look closely you can see the "P" Pierburg logo on the pulley side of it and the pierburg part number on the impeller side.
You buy the one in the box and you're throwing away 200 bucks.

Yup, just go to the dealership and have them grab you one. You'll see the P on it and pierburg pn or give ecs and FCP euro a call as they carry all of the manufacturer ones and the OEM ones in the Porsche box. They can confirm for you.

Keep in mind as well that "OEM" porsche can choose to change the manufacturers they use anytime they want. If they should ever change to a metal impeller pump then in that case you would definitely NOT want to use the OEM they change to but as it is now they are using the excellent quality Pierburg that uses the composite impeller.
