Anyone looking to do a DCT wheel and not wanting to give up their current steering wheel (because it's something other than stock), I have a base black leather 997.1 wheel with triangular airbag I'll sell for half their core charge, which will save you a couple hundred $s or if anyone's wheel is tired and you need a replacement. I also have a 997.1 gauge cluster with black faces if anyone is interested in that.

Hey I also have a 2009 with the triangle airbag. Do you maybe want to sell your triangle multifunction wheel. If so I maybe interested.

You actually wouldn't need the whole wheel, just the multi- function switches that go in the thumb corners and the module

Thanks for the heads up. That will make it easier to find one if I can just pull the guts out of a different colored wheel. Hopefully all the connections are the same.

Given you already have steering controls activated his module may be of interest.
Sorry to hijack this thread. What other steering wheels from other years and models will work on a 997.2? This will make my search much easier.

This is the way to go. Does this wheel have heating function and, if so, can I retain its use with this one? Where did you buy and approx how much? It looks fantastic!

Thanks for your reply. I am looking for non-pdk and with just heating. I do not think Macan will work in that case as all are PDK. Will keep looking.

Let me know if anyone needs a 997.2 steering control module.

I bought one brand new that I ended up not needing and I can let it go cheap. Mike

I’ve updated the first post with what I’ve learned so far. Can everyone please cross-check? Want to make sure others find this if googled.

So is the control module in the steering wheel or is it in the steering column beneath the wheel? Just wondering if I buy a multifunction steering wheel if the module will be in there or will I need to buy that separately.

It’s in the steering column.

Do you have the part number of the steering wheel you installed? These came with 997xxxx or 991xxxx part numbers and while the former is a definite fit into a 997.2 with an original steering like yours, the latter I hear requires programming at the dealer. Can anyone please confirm if this is true (for a PDK car). If there is a problem, is it with the airbag or the paddles, will it require the Ipas code or can any workshop tweak the settings. Thank you.

Install was a breeze; very simple and straight forward.
