Default Convertible Flakey

2010 997.2 Carrera S Cab 133 K Miles

My convertible was not opening correctly. It would get stuck. I took it in to the dealer to have the top recalibrated. It does not get stuck mid way anymore, but it will (about 75% of the time) get stuck when it is almost down.

It appears to overlap the back driver side corner.

If I send it up a little sometimes I can coax it down the final bit.

Not too cool when trying to show off the car.

Question: Is this something I can mess with or do I keep taking it to the dealer for recalibration?

This is the overlap. It looks open on the front.

Looks like the convertible top deck lid needs adjustment. There should be an even gap around the deck lid that's consistent with the engine lid to body, and spoiler to engine lid.

Sorry, never done it before but I did find this:

Thanks!!!

This is one of those crazy problems. It works sometimes with no problem at all.

The best I can tell, it works less often when the engine is hot.

Final Update!!!

I found the problem. When the Porsche dealer did the calibration, they left this tab misplaced. It caused the symptoms.

I cannot believe I missed this.

I think I remember an old post from a few years ago - same thing happened to another guy who bungee corded his spare to his lug wrench.

I had issues with my top for a while. Turned out to be a failing computer brain under one of the seats. BUT, in the process of diagnosing the issue, the car went in three times and they finally had to get the senior tech involved in the fix. He and I were BS'ing when I picked up the car and after hearing him describe what happens when the top goes up and down, it's a wonder that they ever work. There are multiple micro-switches that have to send a "go" signal to the computer at every step of the process.

Default Cost for recalibration of top

Good evening
am in need of some tlc for my 997 Cabriolet
curently in the process of trying to replace the seals in both of my hydraulic cylinders for my top.
Both are leaking.
What did it cost for the calibration at the dealership?
Ant help would be greatly appreciated!
thanks everyone
