Default Out with the old(er) and in with the new(er)

Sold my 2000 996 C2 one owner car and picked up a 2007 997 Targa one owner car!
Currently getting some clean-up work done and new PPF to replace the cloudy PPF in the picture. Hope to get in my garage next week.
Really like the full leather interior more than I thought I would.

Congrats on the new car.

Saw one just like this on the 101 south around Novato during my evening cruise home a couple days ago. Sure was pretty.

You're in for a lot of enjoyment and smiles!!!

Great choice! $150k Msrp... holy cow. Those were Turbo msrp#s back in 2007. She must be loaded. When I first saw 997's the interior was so superior to the 996. All around it is just a great looking car and wonderful upgrade. I still have a 986 with similar 996 interior. It feels nostalgic to me now, where as the interior in the 997 is aging really well in my opinion. It's a great cockpit to be in still. If the navigation or sound system feels old, those are easily replaced. I am not a big "gadget" guy, so I still enjoy it oem. For me it's all about the driving experience and listening to that glorious engine rev out to 7200 rpm

Enjoy the new ride and welcome to the 997 club!!!

Thanks everyone for the welcome/congrats.

I too am not a big gadget guy and plan on keeping it stock. Other than new PPF, I have no plans for changes other than maybe a new(er) steering wheel.

Congrats! I'd be curious to hear how the removal of the clear bra goes and whether there is any damage to paint during removal.

Thanks for clarifying. Was scratching my head here as I' don't think I ever saw a non turbo/GT3 997 with that kind of a sticker. To the OP......beautiful car that you're bound to enjoy every mile in. But what the heck is "PPF"? After all the years here I thought I had the abbreviations down but either I missed this one or forgot it. Since you refer to it as "cloudy", is it the head light covers? Either way, consider replacing the orange side markers with clear ones while you're at it. Cleans things up nicely up front.

Shop told me it all came off fine, I was more worried about the bumper than the hood. They sent me a picture after the first polish. Will be getting the new PPF on Monday. Anxious to drive it but have been away for work and shop tech has been sick!

I see someone else answered on the PPF. The hood and bumper were cloudy and put a dull look and the PPF was only half way up the hood. Getting new stuff done all the way up the hood as my buddy as that on his 991 and it looks much better.

And yes the orange markers are going too!
