I think the info can possibly be downloaded from the car's ECM.

There was a guy in Texas I believe in 2007 ish that disintegrated an Elise. A picture of the Speedo showed about 140 which I questioned as an Elise hits a brick wall at about 122 due to down force and lack of power.

I can’t get past the airbag not going off. Is there any reason why it didn’t go off?

Cut the connection to the explosive components before the sensors tell them to go.

I want to say when that “Fast and Furious” guy died in a 911 the airbag didn’t go off then except it was at much lower speeds.

Whenever I see a "Porsche driver..." news article it seems the Porsche in question is almost always an SUV or Boxster/Cayman
Drive a 911. Live longer.

Airbags don't help in these situations. Organs are ripped from their arteries, brains slam into the skull. There's a reason why racetracks typically are clear of oak trees.

Pretty sure Ryan Dunn's accident was in a GT2,(easier to lose, RWD only, a lot more power, and GE was drunk) not a GT3, and Paul Walker's was a Carrera GT (and he wasn't driving).

Paul Walker? That was a CGT and Paul was a great guy . . . and Roger, the driver, was a close friend and a very skilled and accomplished racer with whom I raced.

Dunn had a GT3. Black with red stripe.

Possibly just a steering correction that didn't account for the speed in question.
The curved exit ramp is not a place to travel at 150MPH. 150MPH on street tires requires tires at the proper temperature on a smooth straight line, not a sweeper. These are not race cars on slicks...

90 MPH on a public road is a momentary lapse in judgement. 148 MPH is pure lunacy.

Likely same outcome if lose it at 90 or lose it at 148. 991 GTS or Turbo is so quick it is just a momentarily lapse if you keep your foot in it. These cars are also so stable and get to speed so quickly, they can inspire a false sense of confidence. It happens and will continue to happen and I would dare say a very large percentage of the people on here have hit 120s.
