Looks like I have S/N 001 of the factory Sport Design Edition for 2015. Only 100 were made and came in three colors, red, white, and black with 50 coupes and 50 cabs, 25 PDK and 25 7MT. Porsche Chandler couldn’t say what the color split was. Not sure what that gets me in resale, the dealer I purchased from only knew 100 were made.
They did the same in 2013 and 2014.
I bought it because it was red and a 911.

Pictures of the 991...
First impression are:
1. PDK is awesome! Especially in Sport Plus
2. PSE is fantastic....no changes needed.
3. Power comes on very linear compared to the 997.1
4. When you hit 4K, hold on.
5. There is no flat spot as the Variocam+ kicks in.
6. The PCM is so much more modern (no kidding).
7. With PSE off it’s very civilized inside....but that won’t happen as PSE on is the default.
8. Seats are comfy, not as supportive as the Adaptive Sports I had in the 997. The 991 has the one step below seats (Sport Seats).
9. There is surprisingly more noticeable space inside.
10. I miss my manual e-brake, the electric one will need some getting used to.
11. Still “ghost clutching” when I come to a stop.
Nice upgrade....think I’ll keep it.

I wonder if you'll get tired of the PDK once the novelty wears off - I think I would. The only thing I wish my Cayenne Turbo S had was a 6-speed, but that was only available in the GTS and I didn't want to give up the extra 200 HP of the TTS.
I'm also not familiar with the flat spot some of you guys talk about when the variocam plus comes on. I can hear the sound change, but there's no flat spot. Maybe it's caused by the factory airbox, or maybe RUF figured out how to tune it out as part of my supercharger setup.

Congrats again.
I thought I'd miss the clutch. I feared the PDK would grow old. With time and play, neither of these things proved true.
Glad you're happy. You should be!!! Now get out and drive 8)

Funny thing is that I put the PDK in manual mode all the time (so far)....so it’s like driving a stick....and I’m shifting soooo much faster now! Love the blips on downshifts, definitely better than my old heels and toes!

Looks amazing! I was never a huge fan (for myself) of the sport classic look, but the way it came together on your car in that color with those wheels looks stunning. Serious props, consider me converted. Enjoy!

Very cool that you got a limited edition car.

I am very interested to hear your thoughts on the 997 vs the 991 once you get some time with the 991. Also, I don't think you will get tired of the PDK. I have had a dual clutch in my S4 for 4.5 years and got a PDK 911 in January and haven't gotten tired of either.
