Default My 1st Pcar

Picked up a 997.2 C2 6spd, could not be happier. I read so many posts on here and read what everyone had to say. Just wanted to thank all of you and ask about exhaust. Not a huge fan of gundo as I would like to be able to switch back to stock if need be. My last vehicle was straight piped so I don't mind sound. Only options on this car are LSD and 19" wheels, which I was told are aftermarket but look like the factory sport design wheels.

Congrats. Some kind of center muffler bypass is easily reversible. I have sharkwerks but there are others out there. Nice that you got an LSD in a C2! It was one of the things I definitely wanted to make sure my car had when selecting for purchase.

Changing out your amber side markers for clear ones will smooth out the look on your car. Cheap upgrade.

Sweet, congratulations! Beautiful car!

Just a little backgrouknd that I remember about this car when I was shopping around. This car was listed for sale on Cars.com up in WA earlier this year and was up for a long time. The owner had it listed at 45K obo and then eventually dropp to 43K before PP bought it. They reposted it 49K and it has been slightly reduced.

Congrats!

Those dont look like the OEM Sport Designs for the 997, I have a set for sale currently in gloss black. However those are a very nice looking wheel on the car!

car looks sweet. congrats.

second mod, get some eibach springs on it. I put them on mine and they totally transform the look of the car, particularly with the ride height on base models. you will have slightly better ride quality vs non-pasm stock springs and improved handling.

enjoy.

Great looking 997. Now, less time on the Internet, more time in the driver's seat!

I ordered the euro side markers. I still would really like to change the exhaust. Has anybody tried the Billy boat crossover pipe with their mufflers? I can't find a video anywhere.

Will an x-pipe sound more high pitched than a crossover pipe?

Do used exhausts pop up on here from time to time? Not seeing any for .2s.

Yes I am in the Seattle area, are you involved with any groups around here?

Congrats! Love 997's in white.

I could be crazy but it looks like from the pictures your calipers are red on one side and silver on the other?

With a .2 car I doubt you'll be happy with just ditching the center muffler. Especially if you came from a straight pipe car and "don't mind sound". You'll need to address the side cans as well. If you want to be able to switch back to stock I don't see an option other than buying a complete after market system or piece one together with side cans from one supplier and x-pipes to replace the center muffler from another. Used systems pop up now and then but few and far between. Used PSE side cans I'm told are very rare finds.

I had a full Tubi on my -09 C4S and really liked it. Almost stock quiet below 3,000 rpm but really screams once you get past 4,000. Higher pitched than the PSE side cans/Sharkwerks x-pipes combo I have on the current GTS which has more of a grunt to it. They both completely transform the exhaust note so a matter of taste. For my taste, the deeper grunt of the PSE/Sharkwerks combo wins over the higher pitched Tubi but I'm sure others will disagree. Plenty of other options obviously but I can't speak to those with no first hand experience of what they actually sound like.
