Fuel tank Vent valve location

Fuel tank Vent valve location
Need help.
I have all the symptoms of a non working vent valve. Error code 0441, hard to fill with fuel, and hard start after fill up.
I have seen all the info on the 996 with the valve mounted on the filler neck.
However my 997.2 is not like this. Using duro pro I can activate the diagnosis valve and pump in the canister, but nothing happens when activating the evaporative valve.
My question is where is this valve? Is it in the canister? Looking at the wiring diagram, there are only the two electrical components listed above in there.
So far I can not find anything on the 997.2 models regarding this valve.
Thanks in advanced.

Can someone with a 09-11 carerra, hook up their durometric and enter DME module, activations, and start the evap valve option and tell me it they hear a valve being tested?
I verified all lines are good, the diag pump and valve work fine in the canister, yet I still have the issue. Of course nothing happens when I use the SW to test the evap valve, Since I can't find info on where this valve may be, and nobody has posted ever replacing one, my guess is this model does not use one?

My 2006 base had the same issue with hard start up after fueling and the 0441 error code. I found and replaced the vent valve with ease after locating it. Open the rear hood, and it’s above the alternator along the firewall. Just reach your hands above the alternator and run your hands with the small diameter black plastic tubes until you hit the vent valve. It was around $260 for the oem part at ECS.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Thank you so much, I found it, tested, no sound, actually removed it and took it apart, there were a couple bits of debris in the valve area keeping it open. Cleaned it out and put back together. Tested and now it is closed and opens when applying 12 volts. Installed and cleared the codes, will let you know.
Thanks again.

I believe the valve behind the alternator with the small black tubes is the oil vent valve? The PN on it crosses to both descriptions, 9A111009102 oil vent line and vapor canister purge solenoid. Very confusing. I will check codes tomorrow after driving a few days.
This valve works on the bench, but still when using durometric tool, Engine module, activations, evap valve option, I hear nothing anywhere on the car?
If anyone has the tool and a 2009 911, maybe this could be verified?
Thanks everyone,
Keith

Just in case anyone has this issue also, It is fixed.
The fuel tank vent valve is in fact in the engine bay. Mounted just behind the alternator with the small black lines going into it, one electrical connector. One line goes to the intake boot, the other comes from the Evap canister from the front compartment. Inside the evap is the charcoal filter, a valve and a small pump. The charcoal filter has two lines going into it from the bottom, one directly into the top of the gas tank, the other leads down and back to the vent valve in the engine bay.
My vent valve was stuck open causing the "leak" in the system. I removed it and could blow through. I dismantled it and found some debris in the valve assembly, cleaned it and reassembled. Now it is normally closed and opens when 12 volts is applied.
Thanks for the help, after clearing all codes and driving a few days I have no issues.
All errors are gone and system works fine.

I have the P0441 error code in my 997.2 c2s. Anyone have the part number for the fuel vent valve in the engine bay? i have identified the part but unable to find it in the part diagrams

that is it for the 997.1. I’m kinda stuck. Got everything disconnected finally. It’s all a tight fit. The line is so long and wraps around the intake and the line is pretty stiff. Anyone have any tips on how to remove it? Maybe I need to go the the inside of the car?

I had to have my evap vent solenoid replaced recently as well due to the P0441 code on my 07 997.1S. Replacing it solved my CEL but I think what caused it to fail was due to the Driven Injector Defender cleaner I used. Some people say you should use it once a year before an oil change but some also say to use it every couple of fuel refills if you run gas with ethanol. Well, I did use it a couple times in succession (after 2 or 3 refills), and I think it dislodged a bunch of crap from my fuel system and some debris ended up clogging the vent valve causing my trouble code. The problem only arose after I put in the injector cleaner. I think I’m only going to use the cleaner once a year now. LOL.
