Bad weather in the South last night. 3 foot diameter hardwood down across two lots on my street. could have wiped out a family if it fell the other way.
Oddly enough they had cranes there the previous day removing other trees.

Glad you're OK.

Now get up on a ladder and fix that roof - not.

Removed a similar, but dead, tree about a month ago by our bedroom. Really glad I did.

Yeah. A tree fell on the house and went through the roof and they drywall into the garage. If the garage door was not raised the branch would have taken out the 911 and me.

Guys are on the roof in the rain sliding around

Moved the car to the lower garage. Need to vacuum the top. Lots of little things to get stuck in the cab drains.

Several years ago a tree dropped on a neighbor's house. They started cleaning it up before the insurance company arrived. The claim was refused. No problem if they hadn't touched the tree apparently.

Called the ins co first. Then the clean up company. They are sending the adjuster tomorrow. Got a large tarp and some plywood in the roof now. And no parking in the upper garage. Looks like most of the. Ruling drywall is going to come down.

Oh well. Nobody hurt. Just amazed that a few little choices and a couple minutes made all the difference. If I decided not to do the brake fluid today I would have a tree as my co pilot in my 997.

Only a true Porsche guy would characterize a tree impaling his house but missing his 911 as "lucky"!
Glad it wasn't worse, and hope everything is back to normal ASAP.
