Brake pads and rotors--OEM or ?
I welcome all recommendations.
My 2006 C2S needs pads and probably rotors. It has 52k miles. I would like less brake dust if possible but usually stay with OEM items for this type of maintenance. An indy recommended some rotor brand other than Brembo but I am cautious. Thoughts?

I really can’t suggest anything specific about the rotors, but there has been a lot of discussion about pads and dust in the past. If I recall, you’d have to use harder pads (non OEM) to get less dust and that may result in a lot more brake squeal. Thanks to physics (generation of static electricity by a rotating object) dust will stick to your wheels. Some have found that various waxes will retard dust sticking to the rims (not the static electricity but its ability to hold dust on the rim). I can’t remember which brands but I think one may have been a marine wax/polish. Best of luck in your search.

Textar pads as Textar is OEM Porsche supplier.
I would also give ATE rotors a try. If they don't make them inhouse they will get them from OEM manufacturer and rebrand them ATE.

dba slotted rotors and Hawk Ceramic pads. Just did this setup on my wife's 997.1 C2Sa couple weeks ago and it's excellent. Good initial bite, great stopping power, and very little dust.
The part #s for the fronts are for rotor rings only as I already had the hats from a previous set I did about 50,000 miles ago.

I wonder how much (if any) weight saving the OEM drilled rotor have over the slotted ones, I have had good luck with the OEM drilled rotors running them in a few track day without having them develop mirco-crack... so why does everyone dislike the OEM ?

I use Zimmerman or ATE. All of my drilled rotors are cracked. Drilled isn't a weight thing it's a gas release issue. Our 997S is agnostic to rotors, it's all about the pads and fluid. I like Endless for what its worth, Stuff is really good. I lean towards Pagid but no complaints about Texstar

Any feedback on rotors and pads for 997.2 cars? My 09’ is at 33k miles and they appear it’s time, TIA.

Porsche does not make Rotors.
Suppliers make them for Porsche.
I have had lots of luck with OEM supplied parts.
DD use? OEM pads and rotors. Dust is inevitable.
