Or you can borrow a tool at autozone for free. Or it gives an excuse to get the cheap oil reset tool like I car soft or even this one on ebay...

Icarsoft can reset the oil change and it is a lot cheaper than a durametric.

You don't need a Durametric and I don't think they make one yet for the 997.2 - I thought only up to 2008.
I use a Launch X431 aka Cresetter. It is cheap - and you can buy it on eBay or Amazon for less than $40.
Only issue I had was figuring out how to change the menu to English as out of the box it's in Chinese!
It took me few minutes to figure out but no big deal.

I bought one of these as well and used it with success on my 997.2.

Correct fill level is one bar below full. Each bar is 0.4 Qts, or 0.38 liters.

So I bought the foxwell/schwaben NT510. It's works for resetting the Macan service interval and reads all the codes on the 997 and the Macan. So I'm keeping it. They said it will eventually get a software update for the 997.2 but currently can not reset anything.

Anyway, can you give a link to the launch you bought for $40? I see them on eBay from $60-$1000. If I can reset the service light for $40 I'm in, but I'm not spending the $150 for the icarsoft por ii.

This is the only link I could find to the tool I bought. When I got mine it was cheaper (2 years ago). I guess they discovered it was good for Porsches and now they are asking more.
