PCM not working
PCM screen on my 06 997.1 C2S is not working. The screen turned on when I turned the iginition, but it is all scrambled like a tv with really bad reception. I switched off the car hoping it would reset, nothing. I turned off the radio hoping it would reset without any luck. Has anyone have this happened? Is there a quick easy fix for this?
I don't even want to look into replacing it because the car is an old car, but still very every bit of fun to drive. I rather save the funds for maintaining mechanical components, unless it will interfere with the car performance which I doubt would be the case. Thanks in advance for your inputs.

You can try pulling the 2 PCM fuses (maybe 9 & 10) or holding down the 3 button combination (something like 1,4,8) to force a reset. Sometimes that does it. Look up the correct fuses and button combination though.

I just fixed the same issue with my pcm. Had to replace the screen. I did it myself since, for around $300. Had spilt coffee onto the pcm. There is a you tube video on how to dismantle the pcm. I think there are a few small companies that will repair for around $500 to $600.

Becker in New Jersey will repair it if you pull it and ship to them. You can call them and see if they can give you a hint as to your issue. Google for info I think they’re in Somerset or something like that. Guy to talk to is Eddie.

I started the car this morning. Now it is working again without me doing anything to it. Should it happen again, I'll try the reset by pressing 1,4, and 8. I saw that same combo from a different thread.
Thanks so much for all your help.
