just a used car dealer who buys auction cars. Have the car inspected by a porsche dealer, look at the carfax. look at the dealers records and the porsche warranty records.

They really don't do that anymore, give you records or service. They might get warranty notices. Porsche dealers do not share service invoices with each other. If you know which dealer serviced it, they might let you see them.

It's a nice car at a good price. the only downfall, it's a convertible. That would be a deal breaker for me.

Motor Group buys and flips auction cars, but unlike many similar enterprises in the area, they have a beautiful showroom and have been in business about 20 years. I have never heard a bad word about them, but I have never dealt with them personally. The car in question was not a Florida car, as evidenced by the front license plate bracket; and the heated seats suggest it came from up north somewhere. It's origins and history should show on the Carfax or Autocheck.
I second the recommendation of KMW for a PPI. Unlike many of the Porsche indies around here, the owner (Kevin) is actually a mechanic and actually works in the shop. And he's about the most honest guy you ever want to meet.

Thanks for the recommendations. I will try and get hold of Kevin next week. I am really torn between getting a 971 or a older 1988/1989 911. Yes I realize they are 2 completely different cars at each end of spectrum.
Thanks
