The engine in my 2011 997.2 C2 has been fabulous. Seven years of ownership and about 31,000 miles with absolutely nothing beyond normal maintenance. Oil changes about every 4000 miles with undetectable oil consumption. My car is a base with manual transmission and PSE, and words can't describe how good this engine feels. Mike

In speaking of gas mileage I still get a good 5 mpg more than in my Jeep running 35's no matter how fast I run it. Vehicles are of course in two different categories, but I love them both.

Finding a car is one thing. Finding a car at a sensible dealer is another......

What are the expenses other than shipping involved in importing from the US? You'll have so much more to choose from and the price will be lower but again, question is where you end up once the car has cleared customs and all expenses involved have been paid. The speedometer will read mph instead of kmhr but that can be fixed.

Case closed will pick it up next week. Porsche 111 test and Approved.... I will be very transparent about this car. Its the highest km car I have ever owned! 140 000 km almost! Manual, sport chrono etc. Good spec. One owner car, gentlemen of 77 years that has owned it and serviced it the way You like it to be

Wait a second. That is not a picture of a 111. This is a 111. Nice 911 though. LOL Congrats on the new car.

First report. Have driven it from March. I must take back a thing with high mileage.
Mileage is one thing.
HOW its driven is and taken care of is everything.

OK, its just 3500 KM until now but must say im VERY surprised. It feels more solid than MANY MANY low milage cars with higher
number of owners i have been in. Now, the rev report says it has been used as a car to and from work by a 77 year old gentleman,
not seen track, not seen a hard drive and taken care of according to schedule. The only thing I can notice is the driving seat, it squeeks a bit in a certain position
like a bad damper but thats it.

This car was bought on an impulse, with very much help from friends in Porsche Club Italy, so I cant take credit for it really.
Just saying its moving my mindset big time.

Update on the car:
Got it keyd in 3 different places so it needed repaint. Impossible to some to leave it alone. However bought a Foxwell Nt 510 just for fun. Great, cheap tool. Just tested It briefly. Have not tested all the functions yet. Before leaving it to the shop for repaint. I read out engine hours and rev. stages. My car has just reach Stage 1 and 2 on a test drive while it sat in the dealer if I put the pieces right. Great tool for all of You that is in for buying a car and would like to check this before the 111 point test...Car still runs very good and still surprised in high mileage VS feel in the car!

the nt510 reads over rev on your 997.2? Did you buy it from foxwell directly or eBay? Can it activate the abs pump for brake bleeding?
if you could please update the nt510 features in below thread it would help others. Please mention 997.1/2 and what functions it can do.

OK, will do, I have not tried it more than a few minutes the evening before I dropped it off at the paint shop. But to confirm. 997 4s Gen 2. I it does read engine hours and the rev.stages, I can post pics.
