Default Water out of exhaust - anyone seen this as well

Don’t drive my car a ton - drove it all day yesterday - short drives. Got him last night - saw this - only changes - added Fabtech air intake over the winter.

You've enzoed yourself

Other than that, not sure what your issue is. What's the last thing done to the car? I'm thinking a head gasket blown and leakage somehow into a header? Is it water or anti-freeze? From the exhaust tip, the white residue is what cooked coolant looks like. Need more info.

My thought was head gasket too.

Forst time ive seen anything like this.

ONLY change made to the car was the addition of the Fabtech air intake about 500 Miles and 2 months ago

no signs in the cockpit.

It was water - potentially coolant. Going to idle it here in a bit and see if I get excessive white smoke.

Didnt know if anyone else has had this happen before.

Water is a byproduct of combustion- normal to a degree especially when driving short periods when engine temp is never fully realized- head casket would have the car billowing white smoke from the exhaust - would be an interesting test to take the car out for a long hard run and then see...

Does that exhaust tip look a little low?

The amount of water/coolant and that residue is not normal.

Agree. First thought was coolant residue. OP: are you sure that's water? Did you examine the fluid thoroughly?

Looks like burnt coolant.

That's a lot of something, is your coolant level normal or low?

Matt - I agree - I just had not seen it to this degree. I did recently pull the airbox and replace it with the Fabtech air intake (love it btw) - and I wonder if the increased flow = increased moisture on short trips?

Maybe it's time for a road trip to blow this thing out ;-)

Coolant is 100% normal - not smoking after run up (it's super humid here right now)

All guages/temps are 100% normal across the board.

Coolant level is normal - fluid color is normal - all temps and pressures are normal.

The white residue even appears to be on the pipe leading down to the exhaust tip. Was the car washed or detailed recently? Are all fluid levels normal? Looks like you have some investigation that needs to be done to figure out the source. Hopefully it is nothing serious.

Blow it our you may if you do that. Again, my initial guess is coolant related. With that amount of liquid, and the sign of coolant cooked onto the tail pipe, I'd get it somewhere first for a thorough going over. I'd want to see it on a lift and in the air, and see if there are any other places where this is occurring. Would not want to find out on some empty canyon road that my cooling system or head gasket is toast.
