Default Rusty lug nuts

Hey guys New 997.2 c2s owner here. I have a few rusty lug nuts on the front two wheels, tires are Michelin PS2 about 4-5 years old. How quickly do I need to get them changed? Any risk of rust in the hubs in these situations? Thanks for the advice!

Use drill wire brush attachement and some silver rustoleum on the heads and you are good to go. Everything else should be oK is my bet.

Got tired of the rust look (as I have nice aluminum hats due to PCCBs) and cleaned them and painted them GT silver. Then I went to the next step--Titanium ones. No problems ever again.

Don't use WD-40 on them if you are considering painting them.

A Rennlister here is selling them. Search. I think it's "World" something.

Don't use WD40. That will mess up the torque spec.

EDIT- I bumped the thread for you. Staff@world is your contact.

I have the World Motorsports Ti ones on both my 997s and Cayenne. They're excellent quality and much less expensive than the other option out there Tikore.

I also have a set of chrome 997 lug nuts available for sale in the marketplace if you're looking for a less expensive option.

Soak in degreeser like Acetone to remove any oils or grease and if you want a really nice finish sandblast before applying.
If you don't have an oven to cure the paint use the air curing paint that they offer.
I have a set up for using there products as I refinish Guns.
There are lots of applicators around the country and are listed on there web sight. You could have one of them do it .It should not be expensive.
This finish is used on all kinds of articles, car parts, motorcycles, just about anything that needs painted and open to the elements.
Very hight resistance to rust.

Wire wheel and Rustoleum paint.
A few beer job.
If you send your car in for service and they use impact gun? They will destroy your work.
Hand tools? It should last a few years.
Or order those fancy Titanium ones, and a slick spacer...
