Question Central lock not working after door lock replacement

Hi everyone! Happy New 2018!
Last night I replaced my passenger door lock (the old one did not lower the window when door is open). Battery was disconnected during the replacement. Now the window goes down, but my central lock is not working. When I press keyfob, central lock button on the console blinks (so it receives the signal), but it does not lock or unlock my doors.

Is there any reset procedure? Or my new door lock does not work and hence it screws the central lock?

Thanks!

The window movement relative to the door handles is controlled by 4 microswitches. Curious why you replaced the lock - are the microswitches not sold by themselves?.

My guess is that there's an electrical or mechanical connection you disturbed or didn't reconnect when in there working on the handle.

First door lock I put in was a used one, so, naturally, I suspected it was bad. I bought a brand new door lock, installed it yesterday and got the same results. Central locking is not working. Durametric is showing me two error codes: "8701 - Door lock module" and "8704 - Door h. button inner sh. stroke" and they cannot be erased. What is strange is the following: when I disconnect the battery, close the doors and connect the battery - I can lock the car using the keyfob - once. After that one time, keyfob stops locking the car. I can open the frunk using the keyfob all the time.

There are no error codes in Alarm system.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Thanks!

Today I opened my door and tried connecting my old door lock module and it worked fine (besides the initial problem with the microswitch and window not going down when I close the door).

Somehow, the used door lock module I got from eBay was not compatible with my car. Same with the brand
new module I bought.

While I was cleaning the door opened/closed microswitch on the old door lock module, I realized that black plastic tip that gets in contact with the door lock was very worn and that was the reason why it does not work well all the time. I opened the microswitch and replaced the tip with the same from the used door lock. Now everything works like a charm.

Still have no clue why my car refuses to work with other door locks (they have one extra letter C at the end of the part number, in comparison to the old door lock). Does that "C" mean anything?

I am attaching the pics that go with the story.

Have a nice day!

I have this same exact problem after replacing the passenger door lock module. Hopefully this will fix the issue. Thanks for the solution as I had no idea where to start.
