Default Indy mechanic in Sacramento area

Hi, I'm relocating to the Sacramento area. Any recommendations for an independent Service shop?
Thanks!

I have been going to Salerno Motorsports in Rocklin. Great guys and the work has always been spot on. I am sure there are others.

I responded to your request in the 996 forum, I have been using Midtown Autoworks, great service, very knowledgeable and reasonable rates, Nikko "the owner" always greats you and never tries to sell you more work than what you are asking for. Look them up at https://midtownautoworks.com/

Definitely recommend Salerno.

Last summer, there was a 997.1 C2S that popped up for sale at the AutoNation Mazda in Roseville. When I called Salerno to set up a PPI, he asked what kind of Porsche. I mentioned the Meteor Gray at the Mazda dealership and he said to avoid that car. He said a customer brought it in that morning and when he saw it, it had obvious bodywork on the driver's side rear quarter right behind the door and near the stone guard.

When I've called indy shops about a specific car and asked if they've already have seen it, most shops, by law, won't disclose any info. So multiple PPI's could have been completed on the same car and the shop can't tell the buyer anything. In this case, he was completely open and honest with me.

I'd recommend IPB Autosport. They did the PPI for my 997.2 back in 2014. I've had 2 friends go there since w/ their P-cars for repairs and they both came away very satisfied. Here's their website: http://www.ipb-autosport.com

I used to deal with Frank's Automotive on Folsom Blvd--around the 4500 block in East Sac. Frank turned it over to his son so I can't vouch for the son, but Frank was good.
