Interesting to me that so many anti modification recently. I get poorly done aesthetics and I think this guys bumper and tail look cheap, especially the unpainted tail, that lip . . ., and the little down force thingies are a bit silly. I also don't like the hweels.

That said, nothing wrong with decent engine mods from respectable companies. Throughout the late 80s, 90s and most of the 2000s, all the big time Porsche guys were into tweaking and modding the heck out of our air cooleds, especially turbos, and we generllay sought out these cars that had a fair amount of money dumped into them.

Maybe there is a preservation movement?

I will be lightly modding to my taste, but should probably be shopping for an unmolested version at the right price

Like others have said, she's been rode hard and put away wet... Move on, IMHO.

I agree with you. My choice of 911's would be one maintained and modified a a Rennlist'str. I'm always surprised at how folks wouldn't go near a 911 with some mods. I've seen some pretty awesome ones on this forum I would love to have.

It is interesting. Seems like half the people have this idea that their 997 might be a collectible some day and stock ones are worth more @ auction. The GT3 forum is a cluster about this..."the windows are tinted, value is ruined, stay away!"
I jump back and forth on the issue though. I'm pretty picky with what mods I do, so most of the time I don't want a car that I'd have to undo mods I don't like. I also tend to think that modified cars tend to be driven harder than their stock counterpart. Some will say they're usually maintained better too. No way to know.
A lot of it is subjective though. I'd consider a modded car but it would have to be the right one.

Is it me or does it look like the hood isn't aligned to the front bumper? Maybe the trunk is popped?

Agree with w others by if the owner isn't going to at least clean it for advertisement pictures.... well... and that steering wheel... 0_o ouch

Does he still have original bumper/ rear deck lid/ stock airbox? GT3 spoiler is yummy!

BTW for reference - I have a MINT 2009 C2S with 24k miles I paid last year $50k. It was in almost un-used condition. I would pass on this car or get a thorough inspection and offer much less.

Dont get attached, keep looking and lowball this guy!

I'd say, 45k is a fair/high end price had there been no mods and car in excellent condition.

40k with mods in excellent condition.

Or just stay patient and wait for one that has the mods you want. With the -09 C4S launch car I became addicted to the GT2 bucket seats so those are a must for me now. Also not wild about any of the OEM wheels so high quality after market wheels are musts too. Lucked out and found the current GTS with the buckets and Forgeline wheels. Paid fair market price for a bone stock car so got about $15K worth of mods I was going to do anyway for free.

A 2007 in excellent condition is going for 45k now with 67k miles? With less than 30k miles I'll bite. I guess maybe in pricey city areas but not here in NC...though to be fair I have only looked at prices once recently to see if they are holding.
