Anyone have JDM wheels on their 997?
I've been window shopping for a set of lighter than OEM wheels for my 997.2 C2, with the intent to pick up some come springtime for use during PCA DE and autocross events. This is my first Porsche, and all my previous fun cars - with the exception of one E30 - were all Japanese performance cars. Since I've started looking wheels for the Porsche, I've noticed that my old JDM standbys for inexpensive, light weight, track capable wheels are largely not available in 997 fitment. Wheels like Enkie RFP1s, Wedssports TC105Ns, Kosei K1s, etc. It seems like OZ wheels are the inexpensive Porsche alternative, but I am not crazy about the looks of the Alleggerita or Ultraleggera. Once you get into the actual forged stuff from BBS, HRE, Champion, etc., then costs get kind of nuts unless you're anticipating serious track work.
Appearance wise, I find myself preferring the Japanese "tuner" style. I see that I can get Advan TCIIIs or Volks TE37s in 997 fitment in both 18" and 19" sizes, and the costs are a lot more reasonable than the forged, one-piece BSS equivalents ($2-3K a set vs. $4-6K). However, I can't seem to find many good photos of these or other JDM wheels on 997s - especially on non-GT3 / non-Turbo 997s. Anyone out there running JDM wheels on a normal 997 Carrera, S, 4, or 4s?
Thanks!

Have you considered the FF01's from HRE? They are 22.2 & 24.6 lbs each respectively and start at $625 per wheel. I also have a 20% Holiday Sale on them as well.

Re: pictures, there’s a thread for non-Porsche wheels somewhere in the first few pages, that should help you out.

I €™m with ya...I like the look, especially the TE37s. Out of curiosity, where have you found Volks in 997 fitment? Most places I €™ve looked don €™t have the right offset or are only available in 19s?

The website says they fit NB 997s, but not sure about the offset on the rears...
