Default Proper Introduction - First 911

A few years ago I thought about a buying a 911. I started my search looking at the 991. After driving a few, my buddy recommended I look at the 997. "It's more of a true sports car experience" he would tell me. Drove the 997 and fell in love with it. The size felt right and the drive was amazing.

My search for the perfect car became an obsession. I was less productive at work. I couldn't focus. I spent half my day looking at various websites, searching for the perfect "deal". I realized that if I didn't take the plunge, my family would suffer. So I bought this car ... for them.

I finally found a clean C2S with 50k miles. Full leather interior. 6 speed/manual trans. It checked all the boxes I was looking for. So I drove over and make an offer. Two days later, after a PPI, I was driving home with the biggest smile on my face since I'd lost my virginity.

Here are some pics of my '06 C2S.

Welcome to the clan. I'm in Philly as well. Your ride is beautiful. This one came with the clear markers. Any other mods done by previous owners?

Thanks guys.

Side markers. Sport exhaust. Haven’t noticed any others. Just put in new spark plugs, changed the fluids, serpentine belt, and put in a K&N filter.

Nice, I live near Bryn Mawr.

Where is that garage, I don't recognize it.

Where / who did you buy the car from?

Peace

I went through EXACTLY the same "My search for the perfect car became an obsession. I was less productive at work. I couldn't focus. I spent half my day looking at various websites, searching for the perfect "deal". I realized that if I didn't take the plunge, my family would suffer. So I bought this car ... for them. "

my 'new' 2011 911 arrives this afternoon.....can't wait! Already watching 1001 videos on how to detail it (black car) and am in analysis paralysis , wax or paint sealant, wash with pressure washer or hose, snow foam, double bucket system etc.etc.

Who makes the exhaust and how do you like it? Fitment looks good.

My car has the standard non-sport exhaust and it's very tame.

It's ok man. Many of us have been there. Dealt with "the sickness".

When I finally bought mine I was so excited and sent my wife the pictures and asked if she was happy about it. She told me she was happy I'd be shutting the hell up about the damn 911, finally.

We are here for you. Call it an online support group if you will.

Glad it all worked out.

AEM. Fits nicely and sounds great. Not too loud. Gives it a little extra snarl.

Bruce - picked it up at Audi West Chester.

Looks like she's in great shape - nice find and congrats. Unfortunately, all that time you spent on the cars for sale sites is now going to be spent here and in the DIY section while you research every little thing and decide what to change to make her your own. Lucky for me, there's nothing left to change on mine, yet I still find myself here - hmmm.

Enjoy her, they're wonderful cars !
