Replacing rear tires / do fronts as well??
Hello,
Last replaced all 4 tires 21000 miles ago. The rears are done the fronts still have a little life. Wondering who would replace all four out of convenience, fronts are only $100 a pop.
Any thoughts?

$100 front tires? That's super cheap.

If staying with the same make and model of tire as what's on the front, there's no need to prematurely change the fronts until they're worn out. Most 997s will go through 2 sets of rears for each set of fronts, sometimes even 3 sets of rears for 1 set of fronts if doing a lot of hard accelerating.
Even though it's only $200, if you want to throw away money, I can send you my PayPal address

If you change just the rears now and then the fronts when they come due, there is the incremental cost of another tire shop visit, beyond just the cost of the tires themselves.
If that added scheduling/going there is worth less than the cost of the remaining life on the tires (which isn't much if they are 5 years tires that cost $100, and are not quite but a good way used up), then sure, change them.
When I was in college, and had lots of free time, sure I'd have no issue doing just what needed doing. Now in a full adult life with lots of scheduling responsibilities, I'd pay money to combine shop visits.
