VIDEO: what happens to your life when you buy a 911 (997.2)

Love the video. A few random thoughts for future videos:
(1) Unsuccessfully trying to stop the sport chrono clock at 9.11, over and over.
(2) Have a friend or spouse driving it and yell at them for going over 3000 rpm before the oil is at temp: "Are you trying to score my bores?"
(3) Grilling your mechanic over what brand of oil/brake/trans fluid they use.

Sometimes I'll actually drop the window when people get out of the car so they don't have the option - am I OCD??

Congrats and welcome to the community.
Here is one just for the nuts; according to Porsche, the bottom tip of the wheel center cap emblem must point at the valve stem. Otherwise, the wheels are going to fall off when your car hits 91.1 mph.
Now seriously, I read somewhere that this comes from racing roots. This way, race mechanics could easily find the valve stems just by looking at the emblems.

Obviously I moved it back

Maybe even the tech guy can set it like that in the system for the passenger side as soon as ignition is turned of, ha, ha

They're usually too snug to spin. There are holes in the front to use a cap removal tool, but a 90 degree pick works fine too. Pop them out and reinstall with the point facing the valve stem.

Here are a couple of Porsche "quirks" that baffle the commoners....
1) German engineering wisdom to safely illuminate only the side of the car when parked next to a road at night. The idea is if parking on a poorly lit narrow street you can alert traffic of your car's presence. With ignition off, just push turn signal lever to left to light up that side, or to the right for the other side. But then again what about battery drain...Damn you German engineers!
2) Can someone pleeeeese explain Porsche's solution for TPMS? Oh right, it the German engineers again!

tl;dr I had a 6-spd, it was really rough to drive in LA traffic every day, so I switched to a PDK. It may sound crazy but it's not that interesting of a story, haha. However, it was a big (and costly) decision, and after finally getting the car I always wanted (that I could enjoy every day) it was worth it. I'll make a video about it soon.
And to everyone - thank you guys so much for watching! More videos are coming soon I promise, we shot one where we incorporated all of your ideas / recommendations - it's gonna be great. Sorry for the delay - I have been busy with work shoots for Hot Wheels the past few months, but can't wait to start uploading more Porsche content.
Best,
Andy
